VIVAIA Winter Boots Review: Stay Warm and Stylish

VIVAIA Winter Boots Review: Stay Warm and Stylish

The experience of getting new winter clothing items, such as boots, can be exciting. As the weather turns colder, it can be nice to have new things to keep warm and comfortable. Wool boots, in particular, are an excellent choice for winter because they are insulating and durable. They can keep your feet warm in cold weather and also withstand the snow and slush that often comes with the season.

I love VIVAIA (I have reviewed their flats before) since they care about the environment and create fashionable shoes without sacrificing comfort. That’s why I couldn’t say no when they asked if I’d like to review some of their winter offerings.

To help you decide whether or not to buy a pair of VIVAIA wool boots, in this blog post, I’ll discuss my own experience with them, including the pros and cons.

A short story about VIVAIA

VIVAIA was launched in 2020 to create beautiful, eco-friendly, and comfortable footwear. They have established a range of luxury and fashion-forward footwear with excellent quality and timeless silhouettes at a reasonable price.

The team at VIVAIA has developed a zero-waste approach using recycled materials and 3D technology to create a seamless 3D knitted, comfortable and functional fabric.

Flats, boots, sneakers, heels, and even sandals are available at VIVAIA. There’s a style to fit any event or environment. Simple and elegant, with a wide range of colors to suit all tastes and seasons, their look is the perfect complement for any wardrobe. The 3D knitted fabric is featured on all of them.

My Experience With the Rebecca Wool Boots

When browsing the options on VIVAIA’s website, I immediately fell in love with the Rebecca Square-toe block-heel knee-high boots. They feature the perfect heel height to be versatile, and the narrow shaft makes them look sleek. I was also curious about how the wool would perform in cold, wet weather.

So, here are the pros and cons of the Rebecca boots. Take into account that these points apply to most other fall and winter VIVAIA shoe options as they share very similar features.

Advantages

The Rebecca knee-high boots are a versatile and stylish choice for any wardrobe. Depending on the occasion and the outfit, they can be dressed up or down.

You can pair them with leggings and a cozy sweater for a casual daytime look. Add a scarf and a coat for extra warmth and style. Try pairing the boots with a mini skirt and a blouse or sweater for a more formal or evening look. Add a coat or jacket and some statement jewelry for a chic and polished finish.

What I particularly liked about the Rebecca boots is that the heel is the perfect height and shape for any occasion. It’s comfortable enough to achieve relatively long walks but also stylish enough to feel put together. So, it’s easy to wear at work or out with friends.

Rebecca features a water-repellent wool upper and warm and cozy terry lining.

Wool boots are an excellent idea for winter for a few reasons. First, wool is a natural insulator that traps heat and keeps your feet warm even in cold weather, which makes wool boots a great choice for keeping your feet warm (the Rebecca are super warm!) and comfortable in the winter.

Another reason wool boots are a great idea for winter is because they are durable. Wool is a strong and resilient fiber, and wool boots can withstand the snow, slush, and other challenges that come with the winter season, which means they will last longer and provide more value for your money.

In addition to being warm and durable, wool boots are also a sustainable choice. Wool is a natural, renewable resource; wool boots can be recycled or repurposed at the end of their life. Wool is a great choice for those looking for eco-friendly clothing options, and if you’re looking into VIVAIA, you probably are.

Disadvantages

Let’s start with the material. A potential disadvantage of wool is that it can be itchy to some people because wool fibers are slightly rough and can cause irritation to sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to avoid wearing wool directly against your skin.

I don’t find the Rebecca boots rough, perhaps because they’re made from a blend of wool, creating a softer, more comfortable fiber. In any case, I wear them with socks or tights below. So the material is not a problem for me so far.

Now, let’s talk about the shape. The Rebecca boots are like a thick, stretchy sock that adapts to my feet and leg shape. This is the first pair of boots that is tight around my legs (I have thin legs), and I love that. But some people may not particularly like narrow-shaft boots (and these are pretty narrow!).

Elaborating on the point above, the sock-looking factor differs from what we usually see in a boot, and some people may prefer something else.

The verdict

My experience with the VIVAIA Rebecca wool boots has exceeded my expectations. It’s now become my go-to shoe this winter. I can wear it for work, dinner with friends, shopping, etc., and I always look put together. And most importantly, I stay warm and comfortable.

The wool texture may be irritating for some people, and the shaft could be too narrow. But, when in doubt, the VIVAIA boots are worth a try. Who knows, you may fall in love with them!
